Qual a TimeLine de 2012?

Terminado mais um Ano, é a altura certa e adequada para num flashback, perceber sobre quais os objetivos propostos/concluídos durante este ano e indagar sobre o meu desenvolvimento Pessoal e Profissional.

De uma forma rápida e Macro, esta foi a TimeLine de 2012 :-D


Alguns dos pontos positivos que quero salientar:

  • Mudança de Emprego
  • Certificação CCNP R&S
  • Certificação Brocade Certified Network Engineer

Não tinha nos meus planos certificar-me em Brocade, mas como consegui um voucher sem qualquer custo, e porque não aprender algo de um fabricante diferente? Em termos de CLI é muito semelhante à Cisco (IOS) e HP (ProCurve).

Dos objetivos propostos apenas não concluí o JNCIA, ficando assim agendado para 2013.

Agora é hora de pensar e agir nos objetivos para 2013….

Qual a estratégia para o exame CCNP-TSHOOT?

Este exame é composto por 3 secções, os quais já descrevi aqui no blog. A minha preocupação eram os 13 tickets do Lab devido ao fator tempo, e não tanto as questões da 1ª e 2ª secções.

Notas para o Exame

  • Todos os tickets resumem-se a problemas de falta de conetividade entre o Cliente1 e o Servidor Web.
  • No Cliente1 apenas é possível executar comandos de ping/ipconfig
  • Todos os tickets são totalmente independentes, ou seja, o Cliente1 pode ter IP no Ticket 1 e não no Ticket 2 (misconfig DHCP)
  • Durante o exame não é necessário efetuar qualquer configuração, apenas indicar qual o equipamento causador do problema e a respetiva solução.

Estratégia antes do Exame

  • Configurar de raíz a topologia no GNS3, permite ficar familiarizado com a mesma

Estratégia durante o Exame

  1. Verificar se o Cliente1 tem IP
  2. Verificar a existência de conetividade entre o Cliente1 e o Gateway
  3. Verificar a existência de conetividade entre o Cliente1 e os diferentes Routers (R1;R2;R3;R4)
  4. Verificar a existência do routing do Servidor Web e a subnet do Cliente1 nos diversos Routers

Os tickets podem apresentar problemas relacionados com: HSRP, VLAN Allowed, Peering BGP, DHCP,  Routing Redistribute, Routing Authentication, VACL, NAT entre outras.

Exame CCNP TSHOOT

O exame TSHOOT (642-832) é um dos 3 exames do currículo CCNP Routing & Switching, este é composto por 3 secções:

  • Questões Drag-and-Drop
  • Questões Escolha Múltipla
  • 13 Tickets totalmente independentes para resolver

Na componente dos tickets apenas é necessário indicar qual o equipamento causador do problema, a natureza da tecnologia e a respectiva correcção. Nesta secção não se pretende configurar qualquer equipamento.

A Cisco divulga o topologia utilizada durante o exame  para resolver os tickets, permitindo assim praticar e ficar mais á vontade no diagnóstico dos tickets durante o exame.

Recomendo vivamente a verificarem o Tutorial e Demo do exame antes de o realizarem, ajudará a entender a estrutura do mesmo.

CCNP Concluído

Finalmente depois de um ano intenso de estudo (~3 horas p/dia), faltava-me o exame TSHOOT para concluir o CCNP. Pois bem, hoje não posso estar mais do que satisfeito não só com a conclusão do exame mas com o fechar de um ciclo, este era sem dúvida um dos meus objectivos para 2012. Num próximo post irei colocar qual a estratégia usada.

Esta é sem dúvida uma grande ferramenta da Cisco  para quem pretende testar os conhecimentos já adquiridos ou se encontra a estudar para alguma certificação. Este laboratório virtual é sem dúvida muito mais green, menos barulhento que qualquer outro.

Recomendo vivamente para quem está a estudar as seguintes certificações:

CCNP Switch 642-813

Após 3 meses intensivos de estudo, fui fazer o exame e concluí o módulo CCNP Switch 642-813, este tinha 40 questões das quais cerca de 5 eram simulações (VLAN, VTP, Routing Dinâmico, 802.1x, LACP). O Score mínimo para passar no exame é de 790 dos 1000 possíveis.
Vou iniciar o módulo de Routing :) CCNP ROUTE 642-902
