The wireless enterprise technological environment is evolving and, with it, the wireless engineer’s job role at the Expert level. As part of its continual effort to keep its certification programs in sync with the changing industry landscape, Cisco has refreshed the CCIE Wireless Written and Lab exams from version 2.0 to version 3.0. The new exam curriculum has been improved in terms of its logical structure and alignment with the wireless technology portfolio.
New additions to the CCIE Wireless v3.0 Written exam topics include converged access, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure. Please review the exam topics for a full list of domains covered in the Written exam.
Updates have also been made to the hardware and software used in the lab exam so as to reflect our current wireless solutions. Lastly, the Lab exam format itself has been changed and now includes a Diagnostic module, which focuses on the skills required to properly diagnose wireless network issues, without having access to the device.
The timetable for these changes is as follows:

The last day to test for the CCIE Wireless v2.0 Written (350-050) and Lab exams will be September 13, 2015

The CCIE Wireless v3.0 Written (400-351) and Lab exams will be available for testing beginning September 14, 2015
